AND THE ARTIST OF THE DAY IS...FLORENCE AND THE MACHINE!
Florence Leontine Mary Welch came into this world on August 28th, 1986 in London, England. As a child she was diagnosed with dyslexia and dysmentria and often got in trouble for singing in school. She studied at the Camberwell College of Arts before dropping out to focus on music.
She could be best described as indie pop, indie rock, soul, art rock, and many others. Her lyrics are creepy and gothic, such as the song My Boy Builds Coffins, where she talks about, well, you can guess from the title can't you? She only has one album, Lungs, but there are it just rumours that she is coming out with a second one soon. Her backing band, The Machine, varies, it depends on what instruments she needs for that particular song. I SUGGEST YOU BUY HER ALBUM!!!
