tainly very "out there" place, but in an amazing way! Located on the Austin famous South Congress Avenue, or also known as, soco, it keeps the "Keep Austin Weird" feel going for sure! It has a sort of carnival theme going on inside that local strollers and tourists alike seem to love. But it's not just famous for it's wonderful atmosphere. When you walk in, you inhale the comforting smell of delicious salt water taffy in tall weaved baskets according to flavor, the creamy to-die-for drinks such as the mango italian cream soda with a dallop of cream (my personal favorite), the freezing cold Blue Bell ice cream perfect for killer Texas heat in the summer, the large array of any type of chocolate you can imagine, well, you get the idea. It's pretty much every kid's (and adults) dream. But be prepared, it's crowded most of the day, especially on weekends, caused by it's intimate setting and awesome candy. It sooo good and you should try it!
