Debbie Harry (lead singer from blondie). Deborah Ann "Debbie" Harry (born July 1, 1945) is an American singer-songwriter and actress, best known for being the lead singer of the punk rock and new wave band Blondie. She has also had success as a solo artist, and in the mid-1990s she performed and recorded as part of The Jazz Passengers. Her acting career spans over thirty film roles and numerous television appearances.

best band/artist of the day
Yo yo music fans!! Today I'm going to write about a band that is totally awesome, but I JUST discovered. They are...
THE RUNAWAYS!!!
Nothing like an all girl band from 70's!!!! This band is super cool but they're a bit out there, so not everyone will like them, but I figured I might just give it a try. The past members are Joan Jett, Cherie Curry, Sandy West, Lita Ford, Peggy Foster, Jackie Fox, and Mickie Steele. The Runaways were formed when both Joan and Sandy, as teenagers, introduced themselves to famous music producer, Kim Fowley. They then found other girl members, including Cherie and created rock n' roll history with the first successful all girl band ever!
They also have a movie about their history that came out last year starring Dakota Fanning as Cherie Curry and Kristen Stewart as Joan Jett. Me and my friend Lucia watched about half, and based on that, I wouldn't recommend this to kids our age or younger. But when you're older, it's a really good movie! Anyways, in all a great band and let me know what you think of them!
Also, UPDATES ON THE KILLS!!!! The album is coming out on April 5th in America and it is called Blood Pressures. To see the track listings or more info, go to the Kills facebook page. Also, they are playing at La Zona Rosa in downtown Austin on April 20th. VERY EXCITED!!!!!!

Did you know that kangaroos are the largest marsupial mammals, they also belong to the Macropodidae. A male kangaroo is called a buck, it is also commonly called a "boomer" or an "old man". A female kangaroo is called a doe or a flyer. A baby kangaroo is called a joey. Kangaroos are social animals that live in groups or "mobs" of at least two or three individuals and up to 100 kangaroos. Kangaroos have one young annually. The joey remains in the pouch for nine months and continues to suckle until twelve to seventeen months of age.

best band/artist by grace
Hello peoples! Hope you all had a totally awesome Xmas break! Today is the first time that I'm gonna do an old band! If you consider the 70's old, that is. It is....
THE VELVET UNDERGROUND!!!!!!!!!!
I just got into this band when I heard the Kills version of Pale Blue Eyes and I decided to get their album. So, they were formed NYC and were active from 1965-1963. They were managed by Andy Worhol. The past members are: Lou Reed, John Cale, Sterling Morrison, Angus Maclice, Maureen Tucker, Doug Yule, Walter Powers, and Willie Alexander and on thier first album collaberated with German singer, Nico. They coulld be best described as art-rock, alternative, or at times, folky. They have 3 albums- The Velvet Underground Nico, White Light/White Heat, and with a folkier side, The Velvet Underground. Some of my personal favorites are Pale Blue eyes, and Murder Mystery.
Also, BIG news! On their Facebook page, Alison Mosshart stated that the Kills are officially DONE with their 4th album!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It completley made my week when I read about it. If they are any Kills fans out there and you want to get info on when it's coming out or any other info on the Kills right away, then I suggest going on their website, www.thekills.tv, and signing up for the fanclub. All you have to do is put in your email address.
