Apple Product of the Day by Scott Morris

I'm so sorry to all of you that read the Apple Product of the Day, I know I haven't done any posts in quite a while, I have been moved to a different guided group.
Today, the Apple product of the day is the iPod Classic. The Classic is amazing for the type of person who is always downloading new music, videos, games etc. Basically, that means it's amazing for capacity. It has 160 GB of memory, which means it holds 40,000 songs; and 200 hours of video. The iPod Classic comes in quintessential silver, with a white Click Wheel; or it comes in striking black, with a dark black Click Wheel. Both cost $249. It's also amazing for battery life, it plays up to 36 hours of audio; and 6 hours of video. When you buy the iPod Classic, it comes with: the iPod Classic, Earphones, USB cable, and a dock adapter. The display is a 2.5 inch (diagonal) color LCD with LED backlight, it has 320-by-240 pixel resolution at 163 pixels per inch. The iPod Classic also has little things on it like Genius Playlists, and Cover Flow. Overall, I think the iPod Classic is very unique and beautiful. It is a great iPod and I would recommend it to a person that is buying an iPod and needs a lot of space. I, myself, do not have one, but I have used them from time to time at Apple stores, Best Buy, and Sam's Club. Also, if I were to buy an iPod Classic, I would get the striking black one and I would get it at Sam's Club. That is were I bought my iPod Touch because they always have cheaper prices on iPods and sometimes they have amazing deals on Black Friday and other times.

Movie Review: TRON Legacy

What's up, it's Bryan here, with a review of TRON Legacy, the sequel to the 1982 film TRON. I just saw this movie, and I loved it!

First off, the acting was great. Jeff Bridges played an excellent, dramatic role. Garrett Hedlund played a great part, and Olivia Wilde was amazing!


Legacy picks up where the first one left off, a 12 year old boy (Hedlund) is with his father (Bridges)when his father goes missing. The rest, well, I really can't tell you.

But, the CGI (Computer Generated Images) are amazing. There are some super action-packed scenes with the Light Cycles. With this movie, you will also get an extremely dramatic ending and a superb story line.

The soundtrack with this is done by Daft Punk, a well known French techno band. They did a great job as well!

Overall, I rate this movie a full 5 stars, it is a total go-to flick! Go watch it right now!

Product Review: iLife '11

Bryan S. here, today I'm going to be doing a product review of iLife '11, it's a new software from Apple Inc. Enjoy!

Overview: iLife is Apple's entertainment suite, and '11, I think is a great update. iLife '11 features five applications: iPhoto, iMovie, GarageBand, iWeb, and iDVD.

Price: The Regular Version will set you back 49.00, the Family Pack costing 79.00.
(Just about to buy a Mac, iLife '11 ships with it.)

iPhoto '11

iPhoto '11 is is a great part of iLife '11, mainly because EVERY single one of your photos is just there. With the all new Full Screen mode, you can see those photos even larger, because, with photos, bigger is better! Editing is simple, yet full of familiar features. Faces and Places, which both debuted in iPhoto '09, are even simpler. You are going to LOVE this app.

iMovie '11

iMovie '11 is great, Apple added more pro features, while keeping it basic and not to complex. In other words, it's just right for the average consumer! Movie Trailers are a great addition, and projects are still great. It's all you expect from Apple, a product that works!

GarageBand '11

Oh, GarageBand, one of the easiest to use music making apps EVER. Apple has added better recording features, more tracks to use, and pure greatness to this product. I'm very pleased with this update, I think you Mac users will too.

* iDVD and iWeb, were not updated in iLife '11....

Overall I rate this product ★★★★★/★★★★★, it is great!

System Requirements

To use iLife '11 You must have all of the following:

Mac Computer with an Intel processor
1GB of RAM
5GB of Disc Space
DVD Drive for installation
Display with 1280x768 Resolution or Higher
Mac OS X v. 10.6.3 or later

Internet Connection for some features like uploading and iWeb.

I think that this consumer software is a GREAT buy. I highly recommend it!

I would recommend a Archos 7" Android Tablet w/ MP3 or a 16GB iPod Nano, depending on which OS you prefer....

3.Money Money Money

For this section I would recommend a 32GB iPod Touch, which sells for around $300 or a Zune HD....

A mute bank robber was well just doing his job so he went into a bank but since he was mute he couldn't tell the banker that he had a gun. So he had to wright him a note but unfortunately his only source of paper was his well check book, so he tried to cross out his name and address so he quickly scribbled down a note and gave it to the banker. The cops later found fond and arrested him.

Apple Product of the Day by Scott Morris

Today, the Apple product of the day is the iPod Shuffle. Apple changed the iPod Shuffle design last generation because I guess a bunch of people didn't like the design. The last generation looked taller and thinner like the first generation iPod Shuffle. Now they changed it back to the normal stumpy design. I like the regular stumpy design better because the stick deign wasn't as portable as the stumpy kind, and the iPod Shuffle is all about portability, it's for people that are always working out or something or even people that just don't want or need all that fancy technology. The iPod Shuffle comes in 2 GB pricing in at only $49. The shuffle comes in 5 colors: silver, blue, green, orange, and pink. The shuffle has a cool feature called Voice Over. That tells you what song is playing and what artist it is by. To get Voice Over, click the button at the top in the center. I really like the iPod Shuffle and I have one, but it is a couple generations below. If I where to buy one from this generation, I would get the silver one.

A buffalo calf weighs about 40 kilograms at birth, and is up and running with the herd just a few hours later. If it grows correctly with no health issues it will become a huge animal standing 1,4 meters at the shoulder and weighing up to 800 kilograms.

Apple Product of the Day by Scott Morris

Today, the Apple product of the day is the iPod Nano. The new iPod Nano is way smaller and now has multi-touch. The Nano has a 240 by 240 pixel resolution TFT display. The Nano starts at $149 for the 8 GB model and $179 for the 16 GB model. The Nano comes in 7 colors: silver, black, blue, green, orange, pink, and red (Product Red). Some of the accessibility options are: Voice Over, White on Black colors, and Mono Audio. For Voice Over, it comes with 29 languages. The Nano has a great battery with 24 hours of music playback, and it takes about three hours for it to fully charge. The Nano also has an FM radio and the radio has live pause.

Over all, I think the iPod Nano is really cool. I don't actually have one, but I have used one before in an Apple store and I really like it. If I were to buy it, I would by the color black with 16 GB.

The humpback whale is found in almost all the world's seas from the polar regions to the tropics. It is known very well for it's leaping. The humpback whale often leaps clear into the air out of the water making a loud splash as it falls back into the water. If you ever go on a cruise look through the port hole and you just might see a humpback whale in the middle of his famous jump. You also might hear the whale's famous song, a multi-tone series of shrieks and deep moans. It might sound weird but the ugly looking humpback whale is one of the most beautiful animal to swim through the seas.

Zilker Fashionista

Hello world, I'm here with the latest P.R. report and I'm sorry it took SO long but it took me a long time to build up the courage to write this specific report because it's a tragedy! Well I know what you probably want to know and that's who won but to know that you actually have to READ my blog! All the collections were amazing but my favorites was obviously Mondo. Here is something I would have said to Andy though,"The color palette is a little repetitive."Something I would have said to Gretchen would be,"It looks like these models are going on a safari to clean the dung this is a car crash of a mess!" Then to Mondo I would say,"Your patterns make this look effortless, but I think your garments need a little more sophistication."

By the way I loved all the costumes on Friday and it's a big disappointment that this is our last year for most of us that we get to dress up, I would tell you what I was but that would totally give away my identity. My fashion tips for this week are... skinny jeans forever, fabulous flats, sweaty sweat shorts, and of course skirts with belts I have only seen Finley and one other person do this come on!Well give me a comment or anything if you have a question, idea or opinion on P.R, Oh and don't forget they have a P.R on Thursday and they bring all the contestants and models back! After the season ends I will just give comments and fashion tips.The winner of Project Runway is.... Gretchen errrr! People That I Watch On YouTube!

SURPRISE! Hello Random People Around The World! This is Bryan, and right now I am going to be telling you who I watch on YouTube!!!!


1. ShaneDawsonTV - This guy is hilarious! His videos are funny, but PLEASE wear headphones if you don't want to get in trouble!

2. CTFxC - This guy, Charles Trippy, and his fiance Alli Speed do daily vlogs on YouTube, as well as skits. They have sweet videos and are truly hilarious in my opinion!

3. iJustine - Also known as iJ, this girl really rocks YouTube's socks off with her crazy dance moves, vloggitys, and crazy videos of her riding around on a tricycle! :)

4. RayWilliamJohnson - This guy does some pretty simple stuff, 2 days a week he reviews Viral Videos that have gotten up to millions of views on YouTube.

5. BlackBoxTV - These guys do some SCARY stuff. This channel is for like the horror genre fans, it's super creepy.

6. Catrific - This chick works for the social networking site DailyBooth, (which is a pretty cool website, BTW) she makes some great collaboration videos with iJ (mentioned before).

7. DaveDays - This guy does some awesome, funny, music video spoofs, he actually wrote the music for a CTFxC outro.


8. Schmoyoho - AKA Autotune The News, these guys have done some funny remixes about YouTube Videos.

9. Josh Sundquist - Known for only having one leg, this dude does some cool dance videos like "One Legged Dancer"

10. SxePhil - Monday -> Thursday this guy talks about what matter's to him in the news, but puts his own twist on it!



Alright, well these are just some of the people that I watch on YouTube, you should check them out!

1. Alot of the names mentioned have more than one YouTube channel, but if you create a YouTube account and subscribe to these people, you will see the other channels available to you.

Apple Product of the Day by Scott Morris

Today, the Apple product of the day is the new MacBook Air. The new MacBook Air now comes in two 11 inch models. Apple is now making the Air as they would an iPad. Instead of making it with a computer hard drive, they are making it with Flash storage. And the Air now has instant on, so as soon as you open it, it turns on. Apple has figured out that for a computer, the best way to have multi-touch is through the trackpad, and if it has multi-touch on the screen your arm would get tired. The 11 inch models start at $999 and $1,200, the 13 inch models cost $1,299; and $1,599. The 11 inch model of the Air has a 5 hour battery and the 13 inch has a 7 hour battery. With the Air's multi-touch trackpad you ca scroll, swipe, and you can basically control what you do on the computer. I have used the MacBook Air before and I really like it. If I were to buy one, I would buy the 13 inch model that costs $1,299. With the Air, it also has FaceTime so you can video call people that have iPhone 4s, iPod Touch 4th generation,, or people on another MacBook. It also has mission control, which helps you see all of your windows at once.

Hello world It's me again and I'm here with last Project Runway's update.Well the first thing I want to say is that this coming up Thursday is the P.R. finale! For the challenge the contestants had to make 1 new garment and pick 2 of they're collection pieces. But before I go any farther I have to say Michael's wasn't all that bad, but yes Gretchen's 3rd look was horrible.The new piece that Mondo made was a long sleeved ankle long dress. It had a row of white polka dots infront of black and the rest of the dress was black he also made a purse with a day of the dead skull on it. His 2nd garment was a brown you guessed it patterned skirt, with a turquois long sleeved see through shirt, it also had a small yellow belt with it. His 3rd garment was a light leaf polka dotted shirt with the same patterned skirt. Gretchen's newest garment was a short green dress with big pockets and abig open pocket in the back. Her 2nd garment was a Green leather jacket with yellow trim and her 3rd garment was a pant with a camel color same color but a sleeved shirt with unapeeling patterns. Michaels new outfiit was a brone one sleeved dress with a beaded strap and great movement. His 2nd outfit was a V-necked shirt with a big hipped feathery skirt they were both sort of bronzish. his 3rd look was a brown vest with brown sequin pants. Andy's new look was a hand pleated green cock-tail dress, his 2nd look was a silver bikini with a cape type of thing attached to it. His 3rd look was a silver pleated jumper. Some of the accessories were hand made like Mondo's rose head band and sphere head band. There was also the jewelry that Gretchen designed which was gold and brown triangular shaped. Then there was also Andy's head pieces wwhich were silver flowers on long thin pieces of metal. Now what you've all been waiting for who gets to go to Fashion Week!!!!!! Here they are MONDO, ANDY, and sadly GRETCHEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!Well my fashion tips for this week are perriwinkle/mint/light blue/white for tan people greys and smoky colors for pale people and purple/blues/geens for in the middle people and then dark skinned people reds/oranges. Then also keep rock'in the skirts!

Zilker Fashionista

Hello World, I'm here with last Thursday's p.r. report sorry peeps I couldn't log into the blog! Anyway they didn't exactly announce a winner but they announced the 4 people to compete at Fashion week. If you've noticed that's more than usual so all four of the finalists (Mondo, Andy, Michael C., Gretchen) will make a collection and the judges will pick who gets to go to fashion week. The challenge was to use something in New York as an inspiration.
The worst part about the last p.r. was that April doesn't get to show a collection at fashion week!Here's the contestant's inspiration Mondo-Brooklyn bridge, April-Brooklyn bridge, Andy-Central park, Gretchen-Lower east side, Michael-Statue of liberty. Here are pictures of what inspired them. If I were a judge I would have commented on Gretchen's garment,"The lower east side is supposed to be cool and hip this is neither of those." And for Michael's," It is really bland, the slits too high and it reminds me nothing of the statue of liberty." For Andy," Why didn't you keep the flower?" and," Its really elegant but, it looks and reminds me nothing of Central Park." Then for Mondo's I would have said," It's really cute, and feminine,but I've seen this print a lot of times from you!" I predict the finalists will be Mondo, Andy, and Gretchen.

I saw the new copy of Marie Claire and I loved a bright yellow pant. By the way Caela, loved the locket necklace, Finley rock'in the belted skirt, loved Finley and Zoe's matching T's, and I really liked Lily G.'s striped, grey and white hoodie with a red and navy blue shirt! My fashion tips for this week are grey skinny jeans for petite people, colored for long legged peeps and skinny jeans for well skinny peeps! For boys plaid, short sleeved dress shirts and 10- is shoes. Oh and don't forget to leave me comments or iddeas.

And the band of the day is...
THE KILLS!

Similar to the last band I did (The White Stripes), The Kills are a duo, but they are very different. Alison Mosshart, the lead singer, was touring with her band from California in London when she met Jamie Hince, their guitar player. She was staying in the same flat that he lived in and she heard him practice. They met, and one thing led to another and they became a band. They would be best described as indie rock, garage rock, or art rock. They have 3 albums, Keep On Your Mean Side, No Wow, and Midnight Boom. Alison said that they're mostly done with their 4th album,but they will finish it when she is done with her tour with The Dead Weather.(Another awesome band, with Jack White, Dean Fertita, Jack Lawrence, and her)I'm really excited for that!

Maddie's Marvelous Interviews

Hello this is Maddie speaking.
I have told you things about other people, but I have not told you anything about myself.
Here I go.
One thing about me is that I LOVE pumpkin pie topped with over the top whip cream! I think that pumpkin pie is the best kind of pie in the world! (Mostly because I haven't tried any kind of pie but pumpkin.) My favorite kind of animal is a WOLF! They are sooooooooooo cute!
I have 2 annoying but great siblings, my sister Rowan and my brother Tommy. I also love my family. And I really have to brag about my grandparents, they spoil me and my siblings rotten! They are both in great shape and still get up at 5:00 in the morning and ride their bikes all around the neiborhood. I also have the best friends that you could ever imagine. Bethanie, Lilly, Alex and Georgia are SOME of my best friends.
One of my favorite things about my life is going to... school!!!!!!! I go to the best school ever, Zilker elementary. All of the teachers that I have had were all amazing. I would like to give a special thanks to my 4th grade teachers, Mrs. Hardwick and Ms. Brosko. Mrs. Hardwick taught me how to really write. I was an ok writer when I started 4th grade but by the end i had learned to love and enjoy it. Ms. Brosko was about the coolest science/math teacher ever. She made math really fun. I loved, and still love all of my Zilker teachers. So go ZILKER!!!!!!!!!!!!

New Apple Event

This is Bryan here, and I have an announcement about Apple, my favorite tech company.

The "Back to the Mac" Apple event will occur on October 20, 2010!

Supposedly, showing a preview of Mac OS X Lion 10.7 and a new, refreshed iLife, the entertainment section of Apple's software, including GarageBand and iMovie.

I predict a MacBook Air refresh, and possibly hinting multitouch support in the near future.

I do not predict Mac Pro, iMac, or Mac Mini refreshes because they were just updated this August.

Anyways, I'd love to here some replies from my fellow fifth grade students, and, of course, our friends around the world! This has been Bryan, have a good afternoon.

Update: Mac OS X is rumored to be released at WWDC 2011 next year.

Allosaurus

This beast was king of the jurrasic period, and ate flesh of huge beasts such as diplodocus(see previous daily dino).How did it hunt such massive creatures? Well, first they hunt in packs. Second, they had a use for its s shaped neck. They would lunge out with it,and take a chunk out of its prey, somewhat like a spring. As a bonus, their jaw can open surprisingly wide. This beast also had two crests above its eye,used to attract mates, and its well muscled arms could grab prey. People once thought it ran slow, like a t.rex, for if it fell it would get hurt badly, but recent discoveries show it could heal fast.
